Arkansas planned to execute eight inmates over the next 11 days due to the lethal injection drug expiring at the end of the month. This has drawn international attention. Two of the men on death row have been granted a last-minute reprieve.

Al Jazeera’s Shihab Rattansi reports from Varner Supermax Prison, Arkansas.

Did you know that there are still states that allow hanging, execution, and a firing squad if the legal injection method is not available?

Check it out Death Penalty Info.

Michigan has ruled that the death penalty is unconstitutional, however my home state of Louisiana still allows lethal injection and is the base for the infamous Angola Men’s Prison.

A great source of info on what’s happening with executions in the U.S. is Abraham”Abe” Bonowitz. Log on Facebook or directly to his site, Death Penalty Action, for detailed information.

There is also a You Caring fundraiser site if you have interest in supporting the inmates set to be executed.
