Michigan Faith in Action
Truth and Justice Tuesday’s (T&JT) at the State Capitol
WHO: Michigan Faith in Action – a member of People Improving Communities through Organizing (PICO) will host Truth and Justice Tuesdays every week the Legislature is in session.
WHY: Numerous analysts have reported on the injurious impact the proposed repeal to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) will have on state residents. In addition to important eligibility provisions being eliminated, the uninsured roll will jump to over 700,000 residents. As people of faith, we are compelled to speak and act swiftly to avoid these dangerous outcomes.
WHAT: MFA will mobilize and gather clergy, grassroots and other concerned leaders from across the state to stand against roll backs to healthcare coverages of the ACA. Participants will meet with members of the legislator for their views and responses to frame future actions on healthcare and other issues affecting state residents.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 28, 2017, Noon
WHERE: State Capitol Building, Room 404, Lansing, MI
Nonpartisan and multicultural, Michigan Faith in Action (MFA) has been in existence since 2007 and partners with diverse faith groups in all corners of the state. We believe that the best way to find solutions to policy issues is to work with the people who are most affected by them. MFA is a proud member of the PICO National Network.
