Meet Detroit’s 45th Annual NAACP Image Awards Hometown Champions Contest Winner, Ken Jones!

Story submitted: Ken Jones is a “Hometown Champion” because he’s just an average guy, giving back what he can, when he can. You may find him coaching his son’s basketball team, a “dancing dad” in his daughter’s recital, leading several ministries at his church, working with local nonprofits, or speaking at a local schools career day. This year he received a “Game Changers” award from the Detroit Pistons for his volunteer efforts in the community. His work in the community without the expectation of recognition is why he should be selected as the “Hometown Champion.”
