New York — African-Americans are in a state of emergency in the country with unemployment at a high of 15 percent and continuing to rise.

Last week, Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network held a job fair where numerous employers showed up to present their open positions to hundreds of unemployed African-Americans.

Many of them stopped to talk to us about their unemployment experience and how tough the job market is.

HOUSTON- Video has been released of Houston Police brutally beating a Houston teenager who surrendered after being chased by authorities.

In the video, police kick and punch then 15-year-old Chad Holley, who does not fight back, multiple times. Holley laid motionless on the ground while a group of cops descended upon him.

Holley was a burglary suspect who was later convicted in July 2010.
