Hello Radio Lovers!

Born and raised in Detroit, Your Favorite Chica Ms. Cryss, (pronounced Chris) a.k.a "Top Flight" lights up your Saturday morning from 9am-12 noon.

Ms. Cryss graduated from Cass Technical High School (Go Technicians!) in 2004 and is currently a Wayne State University Broadcasting student, representing the east side of Detroit.

Known to her family and friends as Crystal, Ms. Cryss was the last of five children, with two sisters and two brothers; Candince, Clark, Michael and Jennifer.

She got her start in radio as a high school reporter at a local hip hop station during her senior year. A couple years later, she worked as an intern and started hosting parties.

“I really worked my way into radio. Coming from the neighborhood I come from, (Mack and Van Dyke); you really believe you will never make it past that. I always wanted more for myself. I caught the bus everywhere… to school, work and back home. I rode 4 buses a day all through high school and some of college. I worked for free for two years as an intern; gophering coffee, arranging CD’s, writing artist riders and organizing events. I worked and walked so much that I literally had a broke hip and didn’t know it. God has brought me a long way and I am so thankful that I never had to compromise my character or womanhood to get anywhere. Hard work, education and talent will take you far!”

Ms. Cryss has a bubbly and energetic personality and of course, she loves to talk!

Favorite Drink: Good wine! Red with steak and Italian food and white with fruit and dessert!

People to meet: I would like to meet Alex Trebek from Jeopardy because I think he’d have great conversation. I would also love to sit and speak with Jay-Z, Warren Buffett, Oprah, Author Robert Greene, Minister Louis Farrakhan and President Barack Obama to get inside their intellect and business savvy.

Why Radio: I chose broadcasting in general to speak positivity and entertain, but also to have a platform to address issues that affect the community.
