Retired Detroit politico Gil Hill, who played an F-bomb-launching, finger-pointing Detroit Police inspector in three “Beverly Hills Cop” flicks, and who in 2001 narrowly lost to Kwame Kilpatrick in the mayor’s race, owes more than $20,000 in delinquent state taxes, according to public records.
Hill, 78, appeared as salty Inspector Douglas Todd in the films, a fitting role considering his 30-year career with the Detroit Police Department. The former police commander also is a former Detroit City Council president.
What’s owed
$20,150
The state of Michigan filed a $20,150 lien against Hill on Oct. 29, 2009, with the Wayne County Register of Deeds. He owes income taxes assessed last year, according to the lien.
His side
Hill could not be reached for comment and his spokeswoman said she no longer represents him.
