A Detroit step-father says his step-daughter stun gunned him six times during a domestic dispute between she and her mother, Fox 2 News reports.

The step-daughter, 30, allegedly threatened her mother, Enola Sanford, via a voicemail before she made her way to her parent’s home ten days ago. Enola’s husband, Paul Sanford (pictured), who has a disability and stands on a cane, intervened when the daughter went after her biological mother but ended up being the victim of the attack. The unidentified woman allegedly struck her step-dad with a stun gun six times. The shock knocked him to the ground.

“It felt like a bolt of lightening,” Paul said. “I saw the rays coming out of the gun. It felt like a bolt of lightening when it hit me. It just knocked me to the floor.”

Tiana, Paul and Enola’s 8-year-old daughter, witnessed the entire attack. It left her with cold feelings towards her older sister. “I didn’t want her to be my sister anymore because she was hitting my daddy, she said.

In the middle of the fight, Enola says she called 911 but the cops never showed up. She ended up driving to a local police department to file a police report on the day the attack occurred. Ten days later, Enola and Paul claim the police have not followed up. Fox 2 spoke with two police officers with no knowledge of the case who both said that shootings and stabbings are often given priority over calls such as the one Enola placed.

Paul, who says he has never held a gun in his life, told Fox 2 that he purchased a handgun the next day for protection.
