24-HOUR MAJOR CRIME SUMMARY REPORT
February 28, 2013 – 6:01 a.m. to March 01, 2013 – 6:00 a.m.
NOTE: The following summaries are allegations of incidents that have been reported and are under investigation.
Thursday,02/28/13 – 9:10 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At Haverhill and Mack, the male victim, 49, was seated in a vehicle, when the suspect approached, produced a weapon and demanded money. As the victim opened the door, a shot was fired. The victim received a gunshot wound, and was listed in temporary serious condition.
WANTED:
Known Suspect: Black male, and armed
Thursday, 02/28/13 – 7:00 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At Wavney and Bedford, the male victim, 15, was outside when the suspects drove up, and produced a weapon, and took his personal property. The victim was not injured. The suspects escaped in a vehicle (color: silver).
ARRESTED:
Suspect #1: Black male, full beard, mustache, medium brown complexion, and armed.
Suspect #2: Black male, (driver).

Thursday, 02/28/13 – 6:25 p.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 11300 block of Camden, the male victims, 47, was involved in a physical altercation with the suspect, who struck him with a tool. The victim was listed in critical condition.
WANTED:
Known Suspect: Black male, 22.

Thursday, 02/28/13 – 6:30 p.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 17600 block of Evergreen, the male victim, age, 30, had a verbal debate, which escalated into a physical altercation. The victim became unconscious, and has died.
ARRESTED:
Suspect: Black male, 31.
The Homicide Unit will be handling the investigation (Telephone number: 313-596-2260).
Thursday, 02/28/13 – 10:10 p.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At Harding and Canfield, the male victim, 17, was walking down the street when he heard shots, and felt pain. He was listed in critical condition.
WANTED:
Unknown Suspect: Armed.

Thursday, 02/28/13 – 10:30 p.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 15400 block of West McNichols, the male victim, age 32, was seated in a vehicle that was parked on the lot of a local gas station. The suspects approached, produced a weapon, and fired shots into the vehicle, striking the victim in the body. He has died.
WANTED:
Suspect #1: Black male, 6’-0”, medium build, medium complexion, braided hair, wearing a black mask, and armed.
Suspect #2: Black male, wearing a black sweater with a hood, black jeans, and a black mask.

0n Mar. 3, around 1:20 p.m. in the 16000 Bringard, the male victim, 11, was pulling the trashbin to place on the public street when he was struck by a possible year of 2001, Dodge Ram pick-up truck. The truck continued to drive-a-way. The victim has died. There has been no arrests.

Saturday, Mar. 2,the male victim, 16, was on a DDOT bus in the area of W.Chicago and Greenfield, when he had a verbal altercation with a two males. When the two males exited, and the bus pulled away, shots were fired into the bus, striking the victim in the body. The victim was listed in temp-serious condition.
