24-HOUR MAJOR CRIME SUMMARY REPORT
February 08, 2013 – 6:01 a.m. to February 09, 2013 – 6:00 a.m.

NOTE: The following summaries are allegations of incidents that have been reported and are under investigation.

Friday, 02/08/13 –1:40 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 5600 block of Lumley, officers heard shots being fired from the upper flat of a dwelling. A barricaded gunman situation was declared. Seven suspects were taken into custody without any incidents. No one was injured.

ARRESTED:
Suspects: Seven males.

Friday, 02/08/13 – 5:00 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 15800 block of Sussex, the female victim, 72, was inside her residence when the suspect forced entry into the dwelling. The suspect fired shots, striking the victim in the body. She victim was listed in temp-serious condition.

ARRESTED:
Suspect: Black male; the weapon was recovered.
This case is being handled by the Criminal Investigations (Telephone number: 313-596-5240).

Saturday, 02/09/13 – 1:00 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 14300 block of Lauder, the male victim, 21, was moving items from a dwelling, when Suspect #1 approached and announced a hold-up. A physical altercation occurred between the victim and suspect. Suspect #2-#3 exited vehicles (green, older model Pontiac Grand Am, and a beige, four-door Chevy) and began to assault the victim with the weapon. Suspect #2 & #3 escaped in the vehicles, leaving Suspect #1 behind.

DETAINED:
Black male, 16

Unknown Suspects #2-#3: Black males, teens and armed.

Saturday, 02/09/13 – 2:25 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 14100 Frankfort, the female victim, 27, and male victim, 31, were seated in a vehicle when a SUV (black, Cadillac) pulled up, and the suspect fired shots, striking both victims in their bodies. The female victim was listed in critical condition, and the male victim was listed in stable condition.

Unknown Suspect: armed.

Saturday, 02/09/13 – 2:40 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At McClellan and Goethe, the male victim, 23, was driving a vehicle when a car (black, Ford Fusion) pulled up, and the suspects fired shots, striking the victim in the body. The victim received a gunshot wound and was listed in temp-serious condition.

WANTED:
Unknown Suspects: Two black males; both were armed.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 19358 block of Bradford, the male victim, 40, was involved in a verbal confrontation when he heard shots and felt pain. The victim received a gunshot wound and was listed in temp-serious condition.

Saturday, 02/09/13 –2:20 p.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 17300 block of Gallagher, the male victim, 48, was approached by several suspects, when one of them produced a weapon and fired shots. The victim was struck in the body and listed in stable condition.

WANTED:
Unknown Suspect: Black male, 20’s, wearing a black coat, and armed.

Saturday, 02/09/13 – 8:35 p.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At Grand River and Oakfield, male victim, (John Doe) was struck by a car as he was walking across the street. The victim has died.

Sunday, 02/10/13 – 1:00 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 13900 block of Artesian, the male victim, age 21, was involved in a physical altercation with the suspect, who produced a sharp edged weapon and stabbed the victim. The victim was listed in critical condition.

Known Suspect: Black male, 42.

Sunday, 02/10/13 – 3:15 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At Cass and Peterboro, the male victim, age 34, was standing outside when the suspect drove up in a car (black, Chevy Impala) and began firing shots. The victim received a gunshot wound and was listed in stable condition.

Saturday, 02/09/13–8:55 p.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At Holborn and Ellery, the male victim, 42, was parking his vehicle when the suspects approached, and demanded his property. The suspects escaped in the victim’s vehicle (2004, Chevy Trailblazer), along with his personal property. The victim was not injured.

WANTED:
Suspects: Two Black males, 20’s, approximately 5’-6” to
6’-0”, weigh from 170 lbs to 190 lbs, wearing a ski mask, all
dark clothing and armed.

Sunday, 02/10/13– 6:00 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 11700 of Kenmore, several victims were injured when two suspects exited a vehicle and threw an incendiary object through the window of a dwelling. One male victim, (John Doe), was seriously injured and has died; and three female victims, ages 30, 32, and 34, were listed in critical conditions. A male victim, 36, was listed in temp-serious
condition.

Sunday, 02/10/13– 8:25 p.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At Pinewood and Annott, the female victim, age 15, was walking to the bus stop when she heard a shot and felt pain. The victim received a gunshot wound and was listed in temp-serious condition.

Sunday, 02/10/13– 11:40 p.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At Maddelein and Hayes, the male victim, 18, was walking outside when the suspects approached and robbed him. The suspects escaped in a car (black, Buick Park Avenue), along with the victim’s personal property. The victim was not injured.

WANTED:
Suspect #1: Black male, teens, 5’-10”, 160 lbs, dark complexion, mustache, all dark clothing, and armed.
Suspect #2: Black male, teens, 5’-9”, 160 lbs, wearing a red cap, black coat, blue jeans.
Suspect #3: Black male, driver.

Monday, 02/11/13– 10:00 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 2000 block of East Eight Mile Rd, the male victim, age 44, was working in a local retail business when two suspects entered the location, and sprayed a chemical spray on the victim. A third suspect was standing outside. The suspects took retail property, and fled from the location. The victim did not need medical treatment.

WANTED:
Suspects: Three black males; one was armed with a chemical spray.

Monday, 02/11/13– 2:10 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
In the 500 block of Mt.Elliot, the male victim, age 41, was walking to his vehicle when he was approached by the suspect, who announced a robbery. The suspect escaped in the victim’s van (1996, GMC), along
with his personal property. Suspect #2 followed in a car (black, Ford Fusion). The victim was not injured.

WANTED:
Unknown Suspect #1: Black male, armed with a chemical spray. Unknown Suspect #2: Driver.
