The year 2012 was filled with dizzying highs and unfathomable lows. From the re-election of President Barack Obama as the 44 President of the United States of America and Gabrielle Douglas making history at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, to the devastation and grief caused by both Superstorm Sandy and the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School, this year has raised the nation’s awareness of it’s failures and it’s strengths.

Going into 2013, some things will be different, some will remain the same. But we will be better, stronger, wiser. That is not only our resolution, but our priority.
Take a look at 45 of the images and events that made a powerful impact on us in 2012. Let us know in the comments what images from this year will resonate with you long after the ball drops.
Here’s to 2013! Wishing you peace, prosperity and love.
