Tracy Morgan met with with gay teens from the Ali Forney Center in Brooklyn, New York, Friday, to apologize for his on-stage homophobic rant.
During the one-hour sit-down, Morgan met Elk Kennedy, a mother who lost her son in 2007 due to a anti-gay attack, the NYDailyNews.com reports.
“My first reaction was he’s a very famous person and what is this going to do to the community?” Kennedy said. “I can’t believe someone would say that in a joking manner.”
Kennedy said she thought Morgan’s apologies were “sincere.”
