Does ‘Gaydar’ Really Exist?

WCHB – Why is it that some people can tell if a man is gay or straight even from far away? And why do some people have sharper ‘gaydar’ skills than others? What traits are they picking up on? The biology of homosexuality is a controversial but exciting field of study, yielding more and more clues each year.

In 2007 David France wrote a seminal article detailing scientific evidence that gay men often have different physical traits than straight men, and Faith Salie has been thinking about this concept ever since.
